Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe smashed  bananas 
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of brown or cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts + 3 tablespoons

Preparation

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix the bananas with the sugar, oil, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the flour plus the baking powder and mix until you get a light dough.
  4. Add the nuts and mix to incorporate.
  5. Put the dough in a greased loaf pan and place chopped nuts on top.
  6. Bake the bread for 50-60  minutes or until it is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean and dry.
  7. Enjoy at breakfast or as a delicious dessert for any occasion!
