Ingredients
- 8-10 slices of bread
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 2 tablespoons of flaxseed
- 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 2 tablespoons almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cane sugar or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2-3 cups of water
Preparation
- In a blender, place the oatmeal, sunflower seeds, almonds, and flaxseed. Grind everything dry until you get a flour (it will not be very fine).
- Add the salt, cane sugar, vanilla and water, and blend again until you get a light dough.
- Place the mixture in a medium bowl.
- Heat a frying pan or griddle and brush lightly with oil.
- Take the slices of bread and one by one, submerge them in the oatmeal mixture on both sides, immediately placing them in the hot pan.
- Cook each French toast on both sides until golden brown.
- Serve with your favorite topping!
