I think there are NO people who don't like chocolate. Being from a country that exports the best Cocoa, I also enjoy its sweet aroma and delicious flavor.
Unfortunately, chocolate turns out to be quite harmful to health, and not only because of the large amount of fattening fat that is usually used to process it, but also because of the caffeine it contains, it is a stimulant for the nervous system, altering mood, causing headaches, increasing anxiety, among other problems.
There is an excellent and delicious alternative to chocolate, called carob. This is a very nutritious fruit.
Carob seeds are very rich in mucilage and have the ability to exert a favorable action against inflammation of the mucous membranes, reducing irritation, both in the respiratory and digestive tracts, acting adequately against diarrhea. They also reduce pain from bruises.
It is an energetic food, with a high sugar content, 50% natural sugar, 10% protein, as well as minerals such as calcium, iron and phosphorus.
Carob has recently been recognized as a "natural food" and is often used ground, as a substitute for chocolate and cocoa.
We used carob in the restaurant and at home instead of chocolate to make cakes, cupcakes, desserts and sweets, and both customers and guests have left very satisfied having had a pleasant experience having tasted something not only so delicious (so similar) like chocolate, but simply much better ;)
Mix everything with a whisk until all the powders are well dissolved.
Put in a small pot and turn on medium heat. When it begins to thicken, lower the heat to a minimum and with a wooden spoon, mix constantly until it is at the desired thickness.
Put immediately in containers and let cool.
Serve cold.
