Lentil Stew

Ingredients

  • 1/4 kl of lentils
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 small white onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Preparation

  1. Cook the lentils alone in enough water (to cover them), until they are moderately soft.
  2. In a separate pot, fry the finely chopped garlic and onion in the olive oil.
  3. Add the peeled and diced potatoes as well as the sliced ​​carrots and cover them with water to cook them to medium point.
  4. To the potatoes and carrots, add the lentils with almost none of their own liquid.
  5. Season with the salt and turmeric and cover until everything is smooth and thick, stirring periodically so that it does not stick and burn.
  6. Serve warm.
