Ingredients
For the dough:
- 1 1/2 cups wheat flour without baking powder
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate powder or carob powder
- 3/4 - 1 cup brown sugar (depending on the desired sweetness)
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 Tbs lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup plant based milk (almond, soy, coconut, etc.)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
For the glaze:
- 1 Tbs plant based milk (almond, soy, coconut, etc.)
- 1/2 cup powdered/flowering sugar
- 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
Preparation
- In a bowl, first mix the dry ingredients.
- Apart, mix the milk with the lemon and let it be cut. Mix with the rest of the wet ingredients.
- Combine the two mixtures and form a dough that will be quite light.
- Place in a mold for donuts and bake them at 350º F, for 20 minutes until they are inflated.
- Remove from mold and let cool.
- For the glaze, mix the milk with the sugar and let this mixture drip over each donut once they are cold. Put a little of the chopped almonds on top immediately and let the glaze harden before serving.
