Ingredients
- 500 g yellow split peas
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 piece of ginger, about the size of a garlic clove
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp thyme or sage
- 2 Tbs fresh coriander
Preparation
- Cook yellow split peas in water until tender, about 30 minutes.
- In a deep frying pan, fry the garlic and ginger in the olive oil.
- Immediately put the cooked lentils, and add the rest of the ingredients, except the coriander.
- Cook everything for 5 minutes and then add the chopped coriander.
- Serve with pita bread and a salad for a delicious lunch!
