Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups wheat flour
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1/2 cup water
- 2/3 cup cane sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups blueberry jam
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a rectangular or square baking tray with oil.
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl except the jam.
- With your hands, press 2/3 of the mixture into the bottom of your pan until even and relatively flat.
- Gently spread the jam, leaving a gap of 1 inch. around the outside (jams will burn if it´s against the edge of the pan).
- Using your hands, evenly crumble the remaining 1/3 of the mixture over the top of the jam, pressing lightly so the crumbs stay in place after baking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes on a center rack until lightly browned on top.
- Cool in the same pan on a cooling rack. Cut and serve!
