Persimmon and Orange Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 really ripe persimmons*
  • 2 oranges

Preparation

  1. Extract the orange juice in a juicer.
  2. Remove the pulp and seeds from the persimmons, and put them in a blender with the orange juice.
  3. Beat until everything is very silky and serve.

 

*Note: the persimmons must be very soft, ready to eat, otherwise this smoothie will thicken too much if left for a few minutes, and it will also produce a strange sensation in the mouth since the persimmon has an astringency which must be to the presence of tannins in the pulp that decrease with maturation.
